Self-taught American composer Paul Creston devoted his energies to composition only from 1932 and recgogition was slow to come, but when the accolades and honors did arrive they were many and impressive. Creston's music is distinctly tonal in the modern American idiom and possessed of a strong rhythmic sense.
This 'Concertino' is approximately 15 minutes long. Reduction for marimba and piano. Orchestral parts are available on rental from G. Schirmer.
