Weight: 44g +/- 2g (depending on rattan) Head Size: 36 mm Color: creamy white/dark blue stitch Schlagkraft sound scale: 40-44 SV-10 is the smoothest model of the series. Labelled as Medium-Soft, this mallet will cover the entire register, but its potential is best experienced in the mid-low range of the vibes. The mallet is 4-5 grams heavier than the other three models of the Contemporary-Solo series. The weight, in combination with the head size, shape and smoothness, will produce an excellent, rich tone with a lot of fundament (no disturbing overtones). SV-10 is ideal for slower, jazzy or contemplative solo pieces, and certainly perfect as bass mallet in the left hand. Extra bonus: on Marimba you will get a better sound than with most „marimba mallets“ out there. Wrapped with practically indestructable synthetic blend yarn. Combinations: Use it as a set of four SV-10, the ideal combination as bass mallet with three SV-20, but also as a set of three SV-10 with a TOP SV-20 for clearer soprano melody lines.

SV-30 Allgemeiner, dennoch starker und klarer zeitgenössischer Soloschlägel SV-30 Allgemeiner, dennoch starker und klarer zeitgenössischer Soloschlägel SV-30 wird als mittelharter Schlägel bezeichnet, und ja, er ist ein Allrounder, aber für diejenigen, die einen stärkeren, klareren Klang bevorzugen. Diese Mallets projizieren hervorragend und sind die beste Wahl in einer Jazzgruppe, in der Vibe-Soli (diese schnellen Licks und verrückten Läufe, die man gerne spielt;) klar sein müssen. Wenn Ihr genereller Soundansatz also eher auf der härteren, klareren Seite steht, ist SV-30 Ihre erste Wahl. SV-30 funktioniert auf dem gesamten Instrument, es hat ein klares Fundament, aber auch einen perkussiven Anschlag in Kontakt mit der Bar, und erzeugt einen klaren, starken, „zeitgenössischen“ urbanen Vibe-Sound. Der VS-30 ist auch die beste Wahl für Stücke wie Loops, Omar, Black Clouds und ähnliche zeitgenössische Stücke moderner Komponisten. Umwickelt mit praktisch unverwüstlichen synthetischen Mischgarnen. Kombinationen: Verwenden Sie ihn allein, als Set mit vier SV-30 oder in Kombination mit einem SV-20 als Basshammer. In einem Percussion-Ensemble macht er in Kombination mit drei SV-40 auch als Bassschlägel einen perfekten Job. These mallets project excellently and are the best choice in a jazz group where vibe solos (those fast licks and crazy runs you people like to play;) need to be clear. So, if your general sound approach is rather on the harder, clearer side, SV-30 is your first choice.. SV-30 works on the entire instrument, it has a clear fundament but also a percussive attack in contact with the bar, and produces a clear, strong, „contemporary“ urban vibe sound. The VS-30 is also the best choice for pieces like Loops, Omar, Black Clouds, and similar contemporary pieces by modern composers. Wrapped with practically indestructable synthetic blend yarn. Combinations: Use it on its own, as a set of four SV-30, or in combination with one SV-20 as a bass mallet. In a percussion ensemble it will also do a perfect job as a bass mallet in combination with three SV-40.

Yes, it is a mallet for special occasions, when a really metal bar needs to be heard , to cut through the percussion ensemble, through those drums and marimbas around you…But, despite its harsh and strong projection, this mallet will have more fundamental tone than most others you have played before, because of the head shape and size. The THINKING and sound approach for this mallet comes from a marimba-background, and this is one of the reasons WHY it has a more clear and good fundamental tone than any other „hard“ mallet you have used before. This mallet is also perfect for ragtime and a full-body sound on any 4 octave xylophone. Especially low quint-tuned bars will sound wonderful. We love it😊 Wrapped with practically indestructable synthetic blend yarn. Combinations: Use it on its own, as a set of four SV-40, or combine it with one SV-30 in the left hand.
